This type of search encompasses the use of keywords or phrases, including variable characters, truncations, Boolean commands, etc., to uncover published literature, including journal and newspaper articles, conference proceedings and papers, reports, government and legal publications, patents, books, etc. Searching in this manner is subjective and interactive wherein the searcher and the client may go back and forth multiple times, adding or deleting keywords or phrases, to limit or expand the scope of the search.
