A Chocolate Bar a Day....Keeps Heart Disease Away?

A compilation study published by the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that eating chocolate may benefit the heart by lowering blood pressure, improving blood vessel function and lowering insulin levels.

Unfortunately, researchers caution that the evidence is not yet strong enough to suggest we should all start eating chocolate.  Even if eating chocolate does prove to be heart-healthy, the amount of chocolate you would have to eat and the number of calories the chocolate would add to your diet (…or number of inches it would add to your waist) would likely outweigh any positive results.

So...before you go gorge yourself on all things chocolate you may want to wait for more concrete evidence.  While this may someday turn out to be chocoholics' dreams come true, right now it remains a dream.
